Tested 6 weeks · 4 paid shoots · 2 firmware versions
The one I’d buy again — with one caveat
Autofocus is finally boring in the good way. Overheating is real above 4K60. If you shoot interviews, it’s the easy pick.

What’s good
Autofocus you can trust solo
Colour needs no grading
Battery lasts a full shoot
What isn’t
Heat warnings at 4K60
Menus still a maze
One card slot
I bought this body the week it shipped and put it straight onto paid work — four shoots across six weeks, two firmware updates, one very hot afternoon that tells you most of what you need to know about the heat story. This is the long version: how it was tested, what broke, and who it’s wrong for.
